September 19 was Jason's birthday. We spent the whole day together. First we went hiking somewhere out around Apache Junction. Here are some pictures of that.

Of course I couldn't make it through the day without the curse striking again. I fell twice. One time in particular, I came down into a nice barrel cactus. It scratched and bruised up my arm, but lukily there were no needles stuck in there!
See that little devil in the background? That's "the" cactus.
This is what it looked like when I'd cleaned myself up.
